From Flab to Flab – My 7th Week on Nutrisystem

From Flab to Flab – My 7th Week on Nutrisystem

Let me start by apologizing for my absence lately. I have been ill and unable to function. I’m FINALLY feeling better, and getting back into the swing of things. Please forgive me.

And on that note… I come to you with this weeks Nutrisystem update.

When I started my Nutrisystem Nation weightloss journey, I was 150.8 pounds. I’m only 5’2″ or so, which means I don’t carry it well. I was so tired of my clothes not fitting, and feeling bad about my self. I knew if I didn’t make some changes, that the problwm was only going to get worse. It’s bad enough to be unhappy with your appearance but it’s even worse when it effects your health. I wasn’t going to let myself become unhealthy.

During my time on Nutrisystem, i’ve not only been losing weight, i’m seeing a shape to my figure, that I haven’t seen in a very long time. The funny thing is, I didn’t even realize how different I looked, until I took a photo 2 nights ago. Looking at the image, REALLY surprised me. I still have a ways to go but I am so happy with my results so far (pic included in this post – sorry about the streaky mirror).

So, here we are. Time for a weigh in. I am currently (drum roll please)……………… 134 pounds! That’s only 16 pounds away from my goal!! Can you believe it?!

Weightloss Progress:

  • Starting Weight: 150.8 lbs.
  • Weightloss So Far: 16.8 lbs.
  • Current Weight (7/25/12): 134 lbs
  • Goal Weight: 118 lbs.

From Flab to Fab – My 6th Week on Nutrisystem

From Flab to Fab – My 6th Week on Nutrisystem

I’m running a little late with this weeks Nutrisystem update. Live as a mother of 5 is quite stressful at times. All I can do is apologize and hope you guys don’t get too mad at me.

Since my last update, i’ve been doing well. I’ve stuck to the meal plan, exactly as I was supposed too. That’s a huge deal for me as I often get cravings for everything else in the world. I think what makes Nutrisystem so easy, is that there’s a wonderful variety of food. You don’t ever feel like you’re going without.

For me, pasta’s are a must have. The fact that I can still have that, makes me squeal with delight. I can even have foods with cheese! Everything they offer is perfectly portioned and balanced. In other words, you get healthy foods that you can ENJOY. No stress of counting calories or weighing foods. Just pick what you want and eat it. Easy enough!

I know i’ve said this so many times already, but my favorite snack is still the popcorn. Hubby is doing Nutrisystem too and said the same thing. Funny thing is, he normally doesn’t like popcorn. He sure like theirs, though! It’s delish! I could literally eat it everyday and not get tired of it. It’s like how a toddler can eat peanut butter and jelly, over and over and over again and when you ask what they want for lunch, the answer is always the same – PB&J!

Oh.. I can’t forget one of the coolest updates from this week. If you’ve been following along, then you know I was down 10.6 pounds, as of my last update. That in itself is a wonderful reward, but Nutristystem took it one step further. To celebrate my first 10 pounds, I got what’s called a Nutribear! This Nutribear (pictured in the post), is a way of saying “you’re doing great – keep at it”. It was just the motivation I need to continue through those tough days. I have him sitting next to me.. almost like the angel on my shoulder (the one who says “you can do this”).

There are LOTS of different nutribears. You get a new one for each milestone that you reach. It’s fantastic! The people at Nutrisystem, really thought this through. They seems to be genuinely interested in helping other achieve their health and weight-loss goals. So to every last person that works there…. I salute you in all of your awesomeness!

Weightloss Progress:

  • Starting Weight: 150.8 lbs.
  • Weightloss after 42 days: 11.8 lbs.
  • Current Weight (6/15/12): 139 lbs
  • Goal Weight: 118 lbs.

From Flab to Fab – My 5th Week on Nutrisystem

From Flab to Fab – My 5th Week on Nutrisystem

It’s week 5 on my Nutrisystem journey and the pounds are still coming off! I started at 150.8 pounds and i’m currently weighing in a 140.2 pounds! That’s a difference of 10.6 pounds! I am thrilled!

I’ve been trying some new foods this month and i’ve found a few that really speak to me. The chocolate chip cookies are really yummy. They’re perfect for dessert or when you have a sweet tooth. So tasty! I also really like the Asian Beef. The portion size is rather large and the taste….. well…. let’s just say that I could eat this stuff daily!

As far as my workout goes, I haven’t been able to hit the gym much. Im trying to be as mobile as possible, but with 5 kids and 2 businesses, i’m rather busy. All I can do is make my best effort. Even if it’s pacing back and forth while on a conference call. Those steps matter!

Oh.. gotta run. My dinner is ready (Roast Turkey Medallions). It smells REALLY good!

Weightloss Progress:

  • Starting Weight: 150.8 lbs.
  • Weightloss after 35 days: 10.6 lbs.
  • Current Weight (6/15/12): 140.2 lbs
  • Goal Weight: 118 lbs.

From Flab to Fab – My 4th Week on Nutrisystem

From Flab to Fab – My 4th Week on Nutrisystem

I’m gonna do things a bit different this week. Instead of just blogging about my Nutrisystem experiences, I made a video! The video gives you some basic tips and info about Nutrisystem, as well as a peek into my messy bedroom lol (we’re still in the process of moving).

Before getting to the video, I want to thank all of you who’ve been so supportive. It’s not an easy thing to do, to put yourself out there. So, from the bottom of my heart.. thank you. Your support means the world to me!

I’ll be doing a new video each month, with different topics each time. Here’s the first of many:

One thing I forgot to mention in the video, is that you also get an after dinner snack. I had it sitting next to me when I did the video, but for some reason, I completely forgot to discuss that. I’m such an airhead sometimes LOL

Weightloss Progress:

  • Starting Weight: 150.8 lbs.
  • Weightloss after 14 days: 8 lbs.
  • Current Weight (6/6/12): 142.8 lbs
  • Goal Weight: 118 lbs.

#NSNation – My Nutrisystem Weightloss Journey; Week 3

#NSNation – My Nutrisystem Weightloss Journey; Week 3

I am a little late on my update for week 3 of my Nutrisystem Weightloss Journey. I totally forgot to write it Friday and then yesterday we went to a party at a friends house.

This week I was supposed to do better, but things don’t always work out the way we plan. Monday and Tuesday I ended up sick with some sort of virus and spent most of the time sleeping or throwing up. It was very unpleasant. Needless to say, my diet didn’t go well those days and I was unable to exercise.

Wednesday, I was feeling a little bit better and was back to work, however, my appetite was not normal. Honestly, not much sounded good and what did sound good ~ wasn’t included in my Nutrisystem meals. So I strayed because I desperately needed something in my tummy. I still wasn’t up to exercising either, but did manage to get in a few daily 3 activities – so not all was lost.

Yesterday, I ate at the party and it was a cheat for sure. I had the best stuffed cheeseburger EVER! Provalogne cheese, sauteed mushrooms & onions, stuffed inside a good size lean burger….on a roll with mayo. It was delicious but definitely not diet-approved. I did refrain from eating the cookies for dessert, so that’s a plus. I also had a few drinks and they weren’t diet-friendly either. I feel bad about cheating, but I had a really great time with family & friends and that was something I greatly needed.

All-in-all, this week was horrible for diet and exercise. I’m not going to be too hard on myself though. I still haven’t had a regular coke in 3 weeks and have continued to drink the required amount of water. There’s 99% no sugar in my regular diet at all, which is also a big change. I’m still continuing to do better for myself and that is something I will remain proud of.  I ended up losing 0.5 lbs after being sick, but some how managed to gain back 2 lbs since Wednesday. This week, I’ll be back to my regular diet-food and exercising and hope to see better results at the next check-in.

I still don’t think my scale is working properly since it gives me a different weight each time I get on it. The good news? I just bought a NEW Scale on Amazon (click to see it’s cuteness) using gift cards I earned – making it FREE! It’s super cute and has good reviews, PLUS…it’s digital!! I should have it by this coming Wednesday and I’m super pumped about it!!

Things I’ve learned throughout week 3:

  • Cheating may taste good, but doesn’t help you reach your goal.
  • Being sick sucks.
  • Sticking to diet foods after recovering from a bug isn’t easy when nothing sounds good.
  • Seeing a gain after seeing a lose for so long is very discouraging, but at the same time more empowering to do better next week.

Some of my favorite Nutrisystem foods this week:

  • Tuna Salad
  • Double Chocolate Muffin
  • Mushroom Risotto
  • Chocolate Protein Shake
  • Ice Cream Sandwich

Weightloss Progress:

  • Starting Weight: 140 lbs.
  • Weightloss after 22 days: 4 lbs.
  • Current Weight (5/27/12): 136 lbs
  • Goal Weight: 115 lbs.

Again, I just want to add that my weight goal is approximate. I am really more concerned with where the fat comes off, as in losing the kangaroo pouch belly, and overall…being healthy.

Have any of you tried Nutrisystem? Are you currently dieting or starting a new exercise routine? We’d love to chat with you all and include you in our support system!!
