UPDATE: I arrived back from part 1 of my roadtrip last night (since ‘home’ is on the way to Destination #2, we stayed the night at our house before heading back on the road). I had a good bit of mail waiting on me and my ink purchase was one of the packages!! (Scroll down to read the quoted original post for the deal on the HP 60XL Ink, the
price has been reduced since the original post too!! Price is now back to original of $15.54 which is still a great deal)
I opened it up and all 4 cartridges (2 Black XL and 2 Tri-Color XL) were inside, individually wrapped. They also included an envelope to return my empty cartridges to them, should I want to do so. Since it’s a pre-paid envelope (no cost for me) and I’m all about recycling when I can (each item you recycle really does make a difference to our environment, the more people that recycle…makes a bigger & better difference), I did put my empty cartridges in and we will mail it on our way out tomorrow.
I took my empties out (put them in the included envelope as stated above) and anxiously opened the new remanufactured cartridges to get ready to install them. They came with a black clip (you can see it in the picture), so I took the clip off per the writing on the cartridges (my cartridges from HP did not have a clip that I remember). I then slowly peeled off the sticker and inserted the cartridges into my printer. They snapped in easily (actually easier than the ones I got from HP, but this could have been because I am more familiar with installing them now). Then I really got anxious! The time came to see if they would work properly.
As soon as I closed the door on my printer, it immediately popped up on my printer screen that new remanufactured cartridges had been installed and started the on-screen instructions for alignment and test pages. I followed all of my printers instructions (printed the test page, scanned it, etc) and everything worked PERFECTLY!! Pages printed great and everything was aligned right. Didn’t see any smears or smudges. The color looked excellent. BEST of all, it IS recognizing my ink levels!! Now you should note that this may not be the case for all printers. I have an HP Photosmart Touchsmart Printer and with my experience so far (granted I have literally just received these and can’t attest to how long they last, etc) this ink has been great and it saved me over $120.00 for the ink I purchased.
I told everyone I would update you, so there’s my update so far. I will be sure to report back after enough time has passed to relay more information on my experience with the quality and value of these cartridges from this seller. So far I am VERY pleased!! I hope the rest of you have a great experience as well.
A little tip, if you need a different type of ink cartridge and are looking for a good deal – simply go to their Store Page on Amazon and search for the ink your printer uses. You may need to try different variations when searching (example: If I were searching for HP 60XL – I might type HP 60 or 60XL etc until I found the best results.) The last couple of times I shared this deal, I would find good deals for specific cartridges for readers who left comments with the type of ink they needed. Since I’ll be on the road pretty much all day tomorrow (headed to south south south Louisiana, lol) I won’t be online to search for everyone and figured some of you might need a different type of ink. 🙂 If you can’t find any and would like our help in finding a good deal on your particular kind of ink, simply leave a comment here on this post, on our site. I’ll be sure to search and reply with some direct links for you when I get internet access. 🙂
Those of you who have a printer and use it frequently, know that ink isn’t cheap. I have been doing some shopping around for ink, for the first time since getting my printer for Christmas. I couldn’t bare the thought of spending $75+ on ink. Thank goodness for Amazon!!
I found this Remanufactured HP 60XL (1 black & 1 tri-color) Ink for only $15.54
$14.58 (that’s right they lowered the price since we first posted!)with FREE Shipping and jumped for joy!! If you bought a 60XL color and black from HP, you’d spend over $75.00. This particular set has really good reviews and also has a 1 year warranty!! Some reviewers stated their printer recognized the cartridges and notified them accurately when their ink was low. However, with remanufactured cartridges – there is a possibility your printer will read low ink even when they are full. Some of the reviews that were more negative, sounded to me like they should have taken advantage of the year warranty and contacted the company for a replacement cartridge.
I ordered 2 of these so I could have a back-up black & tri-color cartridge. It’s probably waiting for me at home, but I’m out of town visiting family. When I get back and get the cartridges put in, I will come back and update the post with my personal experience with these particular cartridges. I got (2) 60XL Black and (2) 60XL Tri-Color Cartridges for only $31.08…instead of paying $151.96 for the same amount from HP. That’s savings that really speak loudly to me, haha!
TIP: Wondering if this Remanufactured HP 60XL Ink will work with your printer? Try going to this product listing and selecting your printer brand, series, and model. Next hit ‘Go’ and it will tell you if this product will work with your printer. That is the actual HP Ink Cartridge that the remanufactured cartridges are replacing, so if that one works – the remanufactured ones should work as well. I did this myself to see if it would work with mine, and then happened to see the first review on the remanufactured ink listed my exact model (the review also happened to be extremely positive which helped seal the deal for me, haha).
