I knew her hummus recipe would be one that would get a lot of use around the house, but I thought to myself “what if we added a little something extra”? – and thus, the Easy Avocado Hummus Recipe was born.
Easy Avocado Hummus Recipe
- 1/2 an avocado
- 2 cans chick peas
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
1. Drain the chick peas but save the liquid. You’ll use this if the hummus is too thick for your liking.
2. Put all ingredients into your food processor and blend well (could take 5 minutes).
3. If it’s too thick for your liking, this is where you would add some of the liquid from the chick peas. Add a little at a time, until your desired consistency is reached.
I like mine a little thicker, so I didn’t use much – but that’s just me. Either way, it’s extremely delicious and quite healthy!
